The Kia Oval is home to Surrey County Cricket Club and has been a venue for the England Cricket Team since 1880. Following the successful completion of Peter May Stand in the Spring of 2015, Applied Energy have been recommissioned to design and monitor the adjacent Lock Laker Stand. This mixed-use scheme which includes additional seating, catering, conferencing and retail facilities, will look to raise the capacity of the stadium by an additional 2,500 to 28,000.

Services Highlights:

  • Feasibility studies on various proposed designs

  • Complete scheme design of all building services (heating, ventilation, power, lighting, domestic water services, public health, security)

  • Full coordination and enabling works package with existing services, to ensure minimum disruption to day to day and match time operations.

  • Integration with existing business critical systems such as AV and flood lighting

  • The building will incorporate 8kWp of solar PV array

  • Coordination with utility companies and service providers to allow for smooth transition of construction

  • Ongoing site inspections and quality appraisal of site works

  • Full review of on site testing and commissioning of installed systems
