The 132kV/11kV Primary Electrical Substation supply electricity to the Olympic Park during the Games and for future developments. Completed in less than three years, the Primary Substation was also used to power the construction work. With a capacity of 198MVA it should provide a sufficient long term energy source. The substation houses three transformers, switch gears and cooling equipment. Everything concealed behind black brick facade which provides a unique appearance.
